On behalf of our friends at the Grace Care Center orphanage, join us for an evening of comic celebration at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak. Three comedians will grace the landmark club’s stage to benefit the children’s home and elder care facility in Sri Lanka’s impoverished north. At $20 a ticket, the cost of seeing these comics is a paltry six-bucks-and-change apiece! What else can you buy for so little that does so much good?

Join us and our friends at the Castle in sharing a laugh with: Mike Green, winner of the 2011 Laughfest ‘Clean Comedy Award’ and finalist in the HBO Aspen Comedy Arts Festival; ‘Gospel Comic’ Phenecia Banks (a minister by day, comedienne by night); and comic-magician Tim Rowlands serving as MC. Seriously: $20 for a Royal Oak night of laughs while helping to provide life’s basic necessities to more than 100 destitute children and seniors? That’s a bargain at twice the price (which we’d accept, by the way, should you feel the urge). The ‘heavy message’ moments will be kept to a minimum, no one will plug a time-share in Florida, and we’ll stay out of the way while the comics do their thing. Laugh, and the world laughs with us at Comedy for a Cause.
WHAT: Stand-up Comedy to benefit the Grace Care Center children's home and elder care facility.
WHEN: Sunday, May 22, 4pm
WHERE: Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle, 310 South Troy st, Royal Oak, Michigan, 248-542-9900 www.comedycastle.com
